Katie Skene is a blues and Americana singer, guitarist and songwriter, based in Ventura, CA., and originally from Tallahassee, FL. Katie has worked primarily on the West Coast, performing in the Jam-Band & Americana scene. She has shared the stage with many legendary artists and musicians including Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, and Warren Haynes and has collaborated with jam-band notables John Molo, Barry Sless, Pete Sears & more. Her music embodies the melding of her Southern roots with a decade spent on the West Coast. The Katie Skene Band features keyboardist & guitarist Stewart Forgey (Pacific Range), drummer Nate Ward (Pacific Range), & bassist Derek Dosz (The Charities). Since their inception in 2021, the band has built a reputation as a compelling and dynamic live act throughout California. Their sound is uniquely their own, infusing the twang of southern rock with the cosmic sounds of California. Through the prism of her evocative vocals, personal songwriting and masterful guitar work, Katie’s music blends electric swamp blues with jam-band psychedelia. Her latest single, “Rock ‘n Roll Baby,” was released in July 2022 and will be followed by an album this year.
