About June Lake Jam Fest

Since its debut in 2015, June Lake Jam Fest – located in the stunning and picturesque mountain town of June Lake, CA – has earned a stellar reputation among jam band music fans for one single word: “Quality”. Quality bands. Quality sound. Quality production. And an overall high quality experience that includes a lakeside stage, camping, boating, hiking, fishing, biking, dining and more. Past lineups have included such acts as Melvin Seals & JGB, Moonalice, Cubensis, GrooveSession, Mother Hips, Dead Winter Carpenters, and The Higgs among others.

The Jam Fest team has assembled the perfect lineup featuring returning musicians and new performers who will make their debut at June Lake Jam Fest 9 – “Music in a Magical Place” Edition – with the same high quality music and production that has become synonymous with this festival.

Born as the brainchild of June Lake local Janet Hunt, the festival began with the desire to raise needed funds for the Mono Arts Council (MAC), which provides arts education and advocacy programs for local youth. Eight years later, Jam Fest continues to provide a rich musical event to Mono County for visitors and locals alike with a unique festival experience that is focused on the celebration of closeness and community.

Funds raised by Jam Fest now support the good work of June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association (JLLOOPPAA) and its mission to provide cultural enrichment and to support the creative arts in Mono County.

Mission

  •

To bring a rich cultural musical event to Mono County.

  •

To host a major JLLOOPPAA-sponsored event located outside of Mammoth and facilitate access for other Mono County Communities.

  •

To provide an event that raises funds for local cultural enrichment while providing a high quality musical experience for the community and visitors.

Our Story

June Lake Jam Fest was born in 2015 when retired educators Bill and Janet Hunt changed their original plan to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary with a few friends and one of their favorite bands, Cubensis, to include as many people as possible who would appreciate live music in their beautiful community. They decided to make the event serve a greater purpose by partnering with Mono Arts Council to raise funds to support arts and music programs in Mono County schools.

Bill and Janet are passionate about the arts and the June Lake community. Funds raised by Jam Fest now support the good work of June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association (JLLOOPPAA) in its mission to further develop “the Loop” as a vital artistic hub in Mono County.
