The Festival Express Band

The Festival Express Band

Jam Fest Appearances  2023

SoCal’s finest A-list jammers formed The Festival Express in 2022, and the buzz is growing with each show! Fronted by strong female vocals (Joni Finkle — Shine On: The Pink Floyd Live Experience, Turn the Page) alongside powerhouse male vocalist Brian Warren (Electric Blue, What On Earth aka WTFB) the band’s striking vocal harmonies combine with instrumental virtuosity and deep jams to create an ethereal, almost spiritual presence.

Curated specifically for hard-core jam band fans, The Festival Express delivers an unexpected and unmatched array of styles, eagerly exploring the new generation of material by artists like Goose, Billy Strings, String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio Band, Tedeschi-Trucks, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Phish, and much more. Not forgetting the origins of the Festival Express train tour of the early 1970s, they of course include plenty of classic psychedelic-era tunes from the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, Pink Floyd, Derek and the Dominoes, and more. Original music is currently in process and plays into the same ethos the jam community craves.

The Festival Express is: Joni Finkle – vocals (Shine On: The Pink Floyd Live Experience, Turn the Page), Brian Warren – bass/vocals (What On Earth, Electric Blue), Brett Davis – guitar/vocals (Grandpas Grass, BD Experience), Ed Lyon – keys/vocals (What On Earth, Tenacious T), George Bernardo – drums/vocals (Hempstring Orchestra, Par Avion).
